This position plays a key role in the Intergenerational Faith Formation of our parish by providing a healthy meal around which households gather to enhance our faith formation gatherings.   You will have the opportunity to be key in the success of the entire program. 

The coordinator determines menus, orders food, arranges pickup and delivery of supplies, schedules volunteers for preparation, set-up, serving and clean-up of events, and assists in budget development.

This is an active position where you get to make a difference; from planning to preparing and serving. The successful candidate will have these qualifications:  

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances
• Familiarity with safety and health regulations required
• Two or more years’ experience working in a food preparation setting
• Regularly lift and or move 25 lbs.
• Work from home for some of the hours and some hours will be in the Kitchen environment

Located at  1401 1st Ave S in Altoona, Ss. John and Paul has an equipped kitchen space and an outstanding supportive volunteer spirit.  We will be breaking ground on a new parish hall and kitchen starting in spring of 2019. The new kitchen will provide additional space and modernize the preparation and serving areas.

Non-exempt part-time salary range $11.30-$15.40 per hour.
