Join us on Thursday evenings 7:00-8:30p in Founders Hall for a new winter study: Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible by Ascension Press. Click on the Winter Scripture Study tab in the submenu for more information and to register.
All adults - single, married, those raising children, empty nesters, retired - are invited to participate in our Parish Intergenerational Faith Formation program. Adults have access to a menu of resources, including videos by national speakers, prayer, service ideas, etc. These resources are available on our faith formation website, Kitchen Table Faith.
Regardless of our age or state of life, whether we are life-long Catholics or dipping our toes in the waters, we best experience our faith by living it. Our OCIA team offers sacred time and space for each person to encounter and reflect on their experience of the Mystery itself by both learning about and practicing prayer, exploring scripture and the Saints, enjoying fellowship with one another, and opportunities to practice works of mercy. We model and facilitate holy habits and practices of faith in community; but the “team” is more than the few of us. The team is entire parish. If we are authentically fulfilling our baptismal call to be a missionary disciple and evangelizer (Matthew 28:19-20) each of us will find him or herself accompanying another. We are each responsible for fostering a place of belonging within the family of God.
Many people who are actively discerning this interior formation process are not connected someone in our parish who can serve as a sponsor or journey companion. You are wanted and needed to accompany someone on this incredibly rich faith journey. There are many ways to support the OCIA/Becoming Catholic that also draw us deeper in our own faith journey.
The OCIA process thrives when parishioners are involved in supporting and guiding others on their faith journey. If you have a heart for evangelization and a desire to accompany others as they grow in their relationship with Christ, consider being a catechist, prayer partner, sponsor, or journey companion. Learn more in the OCIA/Becoming Catholic page. Our parish offers small faith sharing groups, mornings of reflection, and more for adults to grow in faith. Click one of the links under the Adult Faith Formation heading for more information and watch for communications throughout the year.
