Life After Fifty will make fleece blankets on Tuesday, October 4th and Wednesday, October 5th starting at 9 am. If you have a rotary cutter, scissors, cutting matte, long ruler, or any other tools that you think would be helpful, please bring them along. If you bring a rotary cutter, we will put a new blade in when you leave so you can start fresh on your next project.
It takes 2 ½ yards each of a print and a solid for each blanket. If it is easier for you, LAF will do the shopping for you. Call Sally Duer, 515-491-8529 to make that happen. This year it is running about $30/blanket.
Our first recipients will remain victims of human trafficking, and then families who participate in our Presents Under the Tree program at Christmas.
All parishioners are welcome to help make blankets and/or donate fleece. For questions, please call Sally.
