Knights of Columbus presenting a donation to the Building Faith Capital Campaign at Ss. John & Paul
In 1882, founder Father McGivney wanted his Knights of Columbus to be something rather than to do something. Knights were called then, and still today, to be members of a brotherhood where the dignity of each member is recognized and respected.
Council 13109 of Ss. John and Paul Parish was named in honor of Fr. Dan Clarke. Under Fr. Howard Fitzgerald and 57 additional founders, the Council established its charter that is displayed in Founders Hall. Since then the Council has been awarded two Star Council Awards and two Double Star Council Awards that recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities.
About us
The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic lay organization in the world, with more than 1.75 million men and 14,000 councils worldwide. We are celebrated for standing in solidarity with our priests and bishops and for our unwavering support for life. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.
Here at Saints John and Paul Parish, the Fr. Dan Clarke Council 13109 meets every last Thursday of the month in the Faith Development Center social room unless otherwise noted.
