“For I was hungry and you gave me food.”

On a snowy day when schools canceled classes and people relished time off, Joan Ammons and the SSJP teen group and Tweens came through with Christian service. They prepared and served a meal at the Central Iowa Shelter and Services (CISS) in Des Moines—food and hospitality for 250 persons in need. With additional aid from younger helpers (Alex Huberty, Anna Scott and Layton Brier), everyone pitched in to cook, mix, serve, and greet.
