On Holy Saturday, we gather at the Easter fire, recalling how God led the Israelites “by a pillar of fire by night.” Now Jesus, the true light of the world, leads us with this Easter light. We hear the story of our salvation history and we process to the font, where we profess faith and refresh ourselves in the waters of new life.
