High School Summer Service Trip

July 7-12, 2019This camp is a “Next Level” Catholic HEART Workcamp. It is being offered to
students that are currently in the 9th-12th grades (2018/19 school year)
20 spots are reserved for students. Chaperones are also needed to drive and accompany the teens on this trip. Contact Joan Ammons if you are interested in attending.
Costs:
- Total anticipated cost of the trip is $400 per person (includes camp registration, SSJP t-shirt, gas, meals while at camp and other miscellaneous expenses).
- You may reserve your spot by paying this in full, or if you prefer, a down payment of $150.00 will hold your spot for this adventure! A second payment of $150.00 will be due March 15 and the final payment due date of May 1.
- Fundraising opportunities will be available to help offset expenses with final adjustment being made prior to May 1.

websiteShowers - There are separate male and female showers on site (gym/locker rooms).
Program Area - The program area is in a gym without air conditioning. However, a new air exchange sysem is in place that keeps it a comforable temperature.
Sleeping Arrangements - Some of the sleeping rooms are air conditioned. You may want to pack a small personal fan.
Worksite Information:
Calmar is a small town in NW Iowa with a big heart! This will be CHWC's first experience in Iowa, so the actual work assignments are still being arranged..
Past CHWC experiences have included working in the homes of elderly and disabled individuals, as well as daycare centers, food banks, shelters, and working alongside other social service agencies.
Itinerary:
Our destination is roughly a 3 hour drive. We will leave SSJP at 9 am on Sunday, July 7. We will return to SSJP Friday evening, July 12.
