About the Speaker

Petra Lange, Educator, Valley High School.   Petra has been an educator for 18 years.  She is a founding member of CORE (Community of Racial Equity) and ARC (the Anti-Racism Collaboration) of Des Moines.  She currently serves on the State Board of Education’s Equity Committee, SURJ’s (Showing up for Racial Justice) leadership core, the Civil and Human Rights Symposium’s Planning Committee and West Des Moines Community Schools’ Equity Team
